In his appropriately titled book, Arch writes fondly of his meetings with two Popes, founding the General’s Prayer Breakfast at the Pentagon, as well as dozens of other amusing, insightful, and inspiring aspects of his life. He fought in three wars and had three brain tumors yet spent the next 30 years helping others with a big smile. He credited his survival and his positive attitude to his faith. After he retired, he was an elder in his church, lead the Vietnamese relocation program in DC, and delivered “meals on wheels” to elder shut-ins. Arch‘s life illustrates that a military man can also be a man of God.
